Riddled by inspiration due to a gene pool mix of two extremely crafty families – I grew up seeing everything around me being hand made, and can still hear my great grandmother’s words ‘it’s people who do it, so why not you?’ encouraging me to take on anything my wild imagination could muster up.
After all, if someone somewhere was capable of doing something, surely I could do at least the same, if not better…?
I’ve been lost in a digital world for more or less a decade, but now it’s time to return to my roots and embrace the skills passed down in my family from generation to generation.
Glamour Advocate is not just about bringing back the glamour of the decades past. It’s about celebrating the skilled and talented family I have been surrounded by all my life, and at the same time an exercise in embracing my creative roots, and healing my battered old soul through a therapeutic practice of creative dressmaking.
