Hey Karin & thanks for the feedback,

I'm so happy to hear that an SLS-free shampoo helped! It is unbelievable what the cosmetics companies get away with, and how much toxins we end up consuming without knowing better.

I really enjoy reading your blog & have been planning to attempt making my own dressmaker's dummy following your instructions... Just haven't been brave enough to tackle it on quite yet.

Sweet clutch, I love the pink lining! I can almost feel a faint smell of perfume and powder just from looking at the pictures...
Thanks for tipping me off about the SLS-free shampoos! My scalp is just insanely sensitive, and I think it might be due to SLS's... I've tried about every "sensitive"- and "anti dandruff"-shampoo on the market, often with the result of a worsened itchiness and I eventually got a rash all along my forehead... not nice. I finally got the Tigi Foxy Curl-shampoo (against the advice of the hairdresser who helped me, she'd rather I bought an SLS-shampoo for sensitive scalps, insane combination btw...) and it's actually helped. No more itch, such a relief! I hope the rash will totally disappear soon too...
I personally run a war on petrolatum, vaseline, paraffinium liquidum - bad things come under many names. I hate the thought of putting petrol-waste on my skin... (it just can't be good)!
It's a good thing more and more of us are becoming aware of the beauty-industry's love of cheap but less than good ingredients!
I like your site!
