Slip into something a little less comfortable…

A quick fairy tale peek…

My first attempt at a fancy costume is just around the corner! I don’t think I’ve ever had as much fun designing something. For once I didn’t have to hold back, but instead go as over the top as I possibly could! Pink silk, satin ribbons, frills, bows – the lot!

Here’s a few preview images… I can’t wait to show you the rest!

First corset in the making

After two days of intense hands on corsetry classes my corset is finally beginning to take shape. I opted for silk dupioni for material and somehow managed to stuff in 26 bones. The pattern itself is a very simple Tudor style corset, but the boning is hard work. Absolutely love the process though, so I doubt this will be my last.

On that note, just received confirmation that my first corsetry book has shipped.

Here’s a couple of photos of the work in progress:

Glorious nude pumps

I can resist just about anything except temptation.

It is so utterly difficult to find nice shoes nowadays. Everything seems to be too strappy, have an ugly heel, be the wrong colour or just be outright ridiculous overall.

I like my shoes classic, classy and fabulous. This pair of Tony Bianco ‘Karr’ pumps was love at first sight. Perfect shade of nude patent leather. Beautiful classic shape. Fabulous high heels and surprisingly comfortable to wear. They had my name all over them. It would have been cruel not to provide them with a loving home… Right?

About to do a corsetry course!

I just found a very promising corsetry course and immediately booked myself in!

Very much looking forward to creating a fully lined & boned tailor made corset from scratch! I’ve got so many divine corset patterns and ideas already forming! Can’t wait to learn how to turn that all into reality. Such excitement – it’ll be fabulous! Can’t wait!

Today’s Goddess Inspiration

Just saw this photo and absolutely love it! She’s Jac Bowie Worldwide’s newest cover girl Vicky Butterfly and she is absolutely divine!

I love the decadent 20s feel of this photo and those Art Deco-ish knickers are to die for! This will be my inspiration when I start to design my next glamorous party outfit…

I just came across this fantastic ‘How To’ video revealing the secret behind an immaculate 1940s ‘victory roll’ hairstyle! So simple and easy!

Now all I need to do is to get my hands on some ‘rats’ and start rolling!

Shoe love at first sight!

Today, I saw the most beautiful pair of heels I have ever seen in my entire life!

I was walking down the street when I saw a woman passing with the most incredible shoes I had ever seen. I could not stop myself from gasping out loud when I saw them, and as she walked by, I stared in stunned silence until I had to utter the feeble line ‘I *LOVE* your shoes!’

She smiled and thanked. As she walked past and I kept staring the shoes, I saw the red undersoles. Silly me, of course I did – they were red velvet Louboutins – who bloody well wouldn’t?

When I got home I had to google ‘red velvet Louboutin’ and the first result I got was the same shoes that was made of my wettest dreams.

Channelling my inner Domestic Goddess

For some reason I just find the whole 1950s housewife idea so incredibly attractive. I love the clothes, lingerie, hairstyle, makeup, and I – of course – absolutely adore the shoes!

I have just realised that I lack an apron. Now how much more appealing is housework if you think about prancing around the house in stiletto pumps and a sexy lil apron during?

I just can’t decide between the two three of these:
