About to do a corsetry course!

I just found a very promising corsetry course and immediately booked myself in!

Very much looking forward to creating a fully lined & boned tailor made corset from scratch! I’ve got so many divine corset patterns and ideas already forming! Can’t wait to learn how to turn that all into reality. Such excitement – it’ll be fabulous! Can’t wait!

Domestic Goddess

How can you make everyday that little bit more special? Here’s three easy steps to get a little closer to an everyday domestic goddess:

1. Get a frilly 50s apron

Cooking & washing the dishes is oh so much more enjoyable while wearing a ’50s apron! Depending on the audience you can combine it with a cute 50s dress, sexy lingerie or perhaps only a cute pair of stiletto pumps? You can find plenty of them online!

2. Do your not-so-pleasant chores in your sexiest lingerie

Washing the bathroom becomes more exciting if you do it in your most luxurious lingerie. (Just tried, works magic even without an audience!)

3. Get yourself a sexy satin slip & marabou slippers

Resist the urge to slip into a your comfy tracky dacks even if its cold and instead invest in a pure silk robe. Silk is divinely soft against your skin and delightfully warm in the winter and cool during the summer. Finish the look off with a pair of sexy marabou slippers and you’ll feel like a vintage goddess around the clock!

Tantalising lingerie

Let’s start with lingerie.

STEP 1

Do yourself a favour and go through your lingerie drawer.

• Is it not divine? THROW IT AWAY!
• Is it faded and tattered? OFF IT GOES!
• Is it plain and boring? CHUCK IT!

Do it now, and be harsh. After all, what have you done that was so bad that you’d deserve being punished with bad lingerie?

STEP 2

The rest is about long term commitment: WEAR IT!

We are already used to treating ourselves to sexy lingerie, but why, oh why do we save them for special occasions only? So many temptresses out there have drawers and drawers full of divine lace and frills, but for most of the time all those treasures just stay locked away where no one sees them or feels them.

Repeat after me: NO MORE. I want you to choose your favourite set complete with stockings and garterbelt, and I want you to wear it to the office. Tomorrow, wear a different equally tantalising set.

PRO DAMSEL TIP

The frilly & skimpy garter belts that you can buy with most lingerie sets are not really designed to be worn all day. Personally I find that they creep down and don’t really secure my stockings properly.

Try to get your hands on some divine vintage-style garter belts and you’ll be much more comfortable throughout the day.

Oh, and pantyhose? Don’t even let me go there! There is no excuse for a damsel to wear such hideous contraptions, when there’s such delightful alternatives. Seamed stockings & stiletto heels all the way darling!

I just couldn’t say no to this. They’re just so adorable and delightfully naughty. I love the frilled bum on the knickers and I absolutely adore the little bows on the garter belt. And the stockings? Sheer delight with seams!

Now how delightful and decadent are these? I visited Dirty Pretty Things and treated myself to the little black silk robe (far right image) and have pranced around the house in it ever since. Because it’s pure silk, its soft against the skin and warms even on a cooler late autumn morning.

Now of course I couldn’t just wear this lovely robe without satin marabou slippers, now could I? For some reason it seems impossible to find a pair that doesn’t have clear stripper heel in Australia.

Have no fear, I bumped into this fantastic little online store called Baby Girl Boutique. Not only do they stock everything a pin-up girl might need, they are very, very fast! I got my wonderful little package in three days!

Irresistible 50s style polka dot bikini by Odille

I was walking out to lunch with a couple of workmates when I saw the cutest ever Odille polka dot bikini in a store window.

I couldn’t pass it! I ran straight in and tried it on.

I ended up getting the pale blue one, as it looked very flattering on a slightly tanned skin.

I have to say that the sizing was a tad odd though. Its fantastic that they sell the tops and bottoms separately, as I had to choose [S] in the bottoms and [L] in the bikini top!

It was love at first sight and I think its the cutest bikini I’ve ever owned!
