‘I Heart My Pooch Coat’

New range of Pooch Warmers, this time in beautiful light kashmir wool – perfect for spring (or autumn for that matter!) walks.

This design is for the slightly more sophisticated and not quite so camp pooch, and subtle enough to not make your partner blush too badly when it’s their turn to walk the furball ;)

Cute as a button kashmir doggy coats!

My sweet little poodle got clipped very, very short this time, so I thought I should make her a warm coat… this somehow led into me making a limited edition range of pooch warmers exclusively for my favourite pet supply store Paddo Pets!

The first design in the range is a 1950′s Cookie Coat: made out of divine 100% kashmir wool in 1950′s shades of baby pink and baby blue. Trimmed with ivory cookie cutter edges and featuring a slit middle back for leash to harness access during walks.

Warm, comfy and oh-so-cute!

Back on the horse…

Finally locked down the colours for my next project and bought duchess satin in aqua, turquoise and black. I drew the corset pattern from scratch, so it will be interesting to see how everything will turn out…

First corset in the making

After two days of intense hands on corsetry classes my corset is finally beginning to take shape. I opted for silk dupioni for material and somehow managed to stuff in 26 bones. The pattern itself is a very simple Tudor style corset, but the boning is hard work. Absolutely love the process though, so I doubt this will be my last.

On that note, just received confirmation that my first corsetry book has shipped.

Here’s a couple of photos of the work in progress:
